The San Diego Young Aztec club offers introductory and competitive rugby teams for boys and girls between the ages of 5-19. Whether you are looking for an introduction to rugby or interested in improving your skills for High School, College or Olympic competition, our coaching staff offers years of experience at the highest levels of play, both in the US and Internationally. Our club fosters an environment of positivity, focusing on development, mastery, winning, and honoring the game. We combine the excitement of Youth Rugby with an emphasis on commitment, effort, respect, honesty, sportsmanship and a sense of community.
High School and Club Registration is Now Open
High School Rugby
Register online and complete all your paperwork as soon as possible. Practices will begin in October 2014 with High School matches starting in December 2014 and continuing into February 2015. Football players are welcome to join after their high school season ends.
Club Rugby for ages U8, U10, U12 and U14 begins in late November with matches starting in January 2015 and continuing through April 2015. Practices usually occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Dusty Rhodes Park in Ocean Beach or in Mira Mesa (exact location tbd)
Club Rugby for ages U16 and U18 start after the high school season ends in early February. Practices may begin in late January 2015 and matches will start in February 2015 and continue through April 2015.
TONIGHT !! Come on out and support!! The game we have been waiting for... HTH Point Loma Storm meets UC Clairemont...both teams are undefeated and will battle it out for the Mettle Cup!! There will be a free BBQ before the game for all! BBq at 5:30 game at 6 at Clairemont High School.
